When I first went to Nantmor in the lovely Snowdonia National Park I wasn't sure walking was for me! I had enrolled on the Basic Expedition Leaders Award with friends just to try something new, and my first trip out would be something I remember for the rest of my life.
After arriving at the centre late on the Friday we did nothing but explore the house that we would later consider home, after an hour of trying to get the gas working, Dinner and a game of cards by the fire we went to bed ready for the next days assault on Snowdon.
The next day was beautiful and we started out early on the Watkin Path, at about 11 we were close to the summit and started to scramble up the loose rock, but for all the hard work, it was worth every step. After being able to climb three quarters the way in t-shirts in mid November the views were breath taking, AMAZIING, making the hard work worth it all.
Some how looking back at the pictures, they never quite managed to capture the magic of the views or the pride in myself that I felt for completing it. Walking was DEFINITELY my thing!!
